From there it was a quick Aspect of the Cheetah run to the hole dropping down to Nurgen the Elder. Comment by Just solo'ed as a 85 bear tank ilvl Comment by Averuuh I soloed this on normal mode on my 85 shadow priest with healing gear. It was easy, so I think anyone with cloth armor can do this.
Just pull one watcher at a time on first boss, and run past second boss so you can drop down the hole and get to the Elder. You can run past last boss too to get out through the exit behind him. Comment by Twiggaloo I just solo'ed this as an 85 balance druid in non-heroic Cata dungeon and quest gear ilvl I also have an injured finger right now, which really takes a chunk out of my DPS. I died once due to the game freezing , and ended up resetting the first boss fight twice.
I probably would have been better off with a group, so keep that in mind if you are considering soloing this. It definitely would have been faster The wraps from the watchers were highly annoying, but if you take the watcher groups down quickly, its not an issue. My strategy was to pull the first group, then dash back almost to the entrance of the instance so that I had a little more time to heal and regain mana between each group.
Don't forget that once started, they aggro automatically. If you use my strategy of staying up in the tunnel area, make sure that you run back to the boss quickly. Krik'thir aggros automatically as well, maybe 30 seconds or a minute after the last watcher pack is downed. If you pull the boss into the the tunnel, he disappears and the whole thing resets.
It also resets if you Shadowmeld during the watcher fights, so watch out. The second boss was much easier. The crusher packs aren't hard and if you wait for Hadronox to kill all the other mobs, its not a tough fight. Just watch out for those acid clouds and poison pool things. Then fall down a hole and success!
You just saved yourself the trouble of actually talking to other people! If you aren't planning on hearthing out, I can confirm that the last two mobs and Anub'arak are easy to stealth past. Comment by Just soloed as 85 Frost Mage ilevel on normal mode. As Averuuh said. Down first boss. Run pass second boss you do not have to fight the second boss and drop down. Nurgen the Elder is right there after the drop. Comment by Monthy Hunter lvl82, Solo Like all others, finished off the first boss and its mobs with ease.
I vanted to stay in the area after the Elder-task, so I stripped down and went in to last boss for a funfight looser and after death put on my gear again and simply walked out of the dungeon.
No repears. Comment by Just soloed as a 83 elemental shaman in Deepholm quest gear i The first boss is the more difficult. Taking out the named mobs first is a must before they can get off too many web-wraps. Then the boss itself is pretty straightforward.
Same is true for the second boss—just keep your distance on the trash, take out elites first while magma totem is up to soften the rest of the trash. And big spider is easy-peasey! Comment by zaheer12a As a demo lock I could easily solo this. The elder is down the hole after Hadronox. Comment by benj Insanely easy for an 85 Protection Warrior.
Enter dungeon and don't stop will you hit the first boss. Keep on running all the way through the instance ignoring everything. What they going to do? Jump through hole. Hand in quest and die to leave. Job done. Comment by pacoluigiano Well, if you are 85 - it will take little effort auto attack and maybe AoE. It took me 5 minutes to run through to Elder, but I hearthed out. Not sure about solo on final boss and didn't really care-.
Extend Azjol-Nerub Heroic and stealth your way to the elder. The quickest way to get out is to remove the extension and click to exit the instance when prompted. Comment by Solo'd relatively easily on regular as a geared feral druid.
Just kill the watchers first during the 3 pulls before first boss, wait out annoying web wraps, and then steamroll the boss. Use Berserk and Frenzied Regen as needed during the pre-boss pulls and it's easy as pie.
Then stealth past Hardonox, drop in the pit and, viola, another Elder checked off your list. Comment by Protection pally with engineering here: - Extended the lock on my last heroic clear. This made me out of combat. Used a re-activated lockout. Killed the first two mobs, not too much trouble, but the second pack was. What I did was I sent in my Shadowfiend to distract them, and it did, for about five seconds. I hit Dispersion when they reached me, then jumped off the bridge toward the spiral path.
They'll reset once you drop down into the area with all the tiny spiders. Comment by Zahniya If you were having trouble finding this guy, like I was, he is after Hadronox. Following the path around and dropping down into The Brood Pit. He will be sitting just north of the pond.
Comment by Dalez Soloed as a level 85 arcane mage; The first boss was easy, popped cooldowns and was down. The hardest part was the 3 mobs infront of him, as it would be on half health and then another pack would come, low health, then be killed by the final pack. I just popped my cooldowns on the first pack and I then waited for 3 minutes to kill the boss. The next part was easy: invisibility to the part where drop down Kill packs and steamroll the boss, then run down along bridge, cut to the right, and follow the curve down.
The mobs won't aggro you until you get to the boss. Just continue to the hole, drop down and get out of combat and get your Elder on the left of the usual path. Comment by After you pass the first two bosses Krik'thir the Gatewatcher and Hadronox , jump down the deep hole and he is sitting right by the water you land in.
Just look for the yellow exclamation point on your hud. I very easily solo'd the entire instance as a ilvl boomkin. Comment by sithvixen Easily solo'd as an 85 ilvl hunter. Comment by Easy solo as a lvl 85 shadow priest. Mind sear little spiders after. Fall to the small spiders room under Hadronox then jump all the way down in the water. The elder will wait for you there.
No repears. Comment by implodespw Just solo'ed as 85 DK. Verified he is in the brood pit before the last boss fight.
Word of note, and this will make every other class happy, Blizz disabled path of frost in this area. That should fix any of those sorry DKs from popping path of frost during that long fall into the water. Comment by Nevinny Was just able to camo around last boss without aggro to the tunnel to the exit.
Comment by hamhelth its really simple! Comment by For some reason being a level 85 ilvl prot paladin just doesn't cut it for me.
I can't even reach the first boss without being killed. The watchers wrap me and the others completely demolish me. I have k health and I'm brought down before I even reach the third set of mobs. Tell me I suck all you want, that much is obvious.
I just can't do it. Comment by i did it with my level 85 balance drood. First boss was easy. Comment by Magalie Easily soloed on my 83 fury warrior So now I'm trying as a protadin. I got past the Guardian now but now I'm having trouble getting pass the second boss, can we just run by him or do we need to kill him?
Comment by You have to kill the first boss but it's ez for lvl 85, Boss is k HP but my boomkin is :. Comment by Screwy The first boss is a cakewalk with an 85 lock using Voidwaker tank.
